We were playing Family Trivial Pursuit, and a kids' card asked a question that Dorothy would not know.  I said I would give her three answer choices:  Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, or Bill Clinton.  "Bill Clinton," Dorothy guessed.  "No," I answered, "It's Richard Nixon."  "The only person I know out of those is Bill Clinton," she said, "so I thought that you might have made up the others."

"And now for the worst part...the notes!"

Birthday morning

Dorothy wanted to wake up and "follow the string!" like in a Frozen short.  The path included some toys and ended with her favorite fruit, raspberries.

Dorothy was telling me that her new teacher has all the kids use the bathroom before recess.  "Oh, I said.  That is a good idea.  Remember last year when the teacher had to take the whole class inside from recess because you had to go to the bathroom?"  Dorothy said flatly, "I guess Mrs. Hattrich learned her lesson, because after that she hired an assistant on the playground."

Dorothy made up a riddle:  "What has 5 letters and you have to guess it?"
Answer:  Wordle
(funny, she points out, because "Wordle" has 6 letters.)

Dorothy set-up a Lego family with two mothers and a son.  "This child is genetically impossible," she said, "Because one mom has brown hair and blue eyes, and the other mom has brown hair and brown eyes, and the child has blond hair and green eyes."
