The Sunday Funnies
Dorothy has been following instructional videos and making nice rubber band bracelets. She has progressed past the beginner videos to the intermediate videos. She had trouble with the "fireworks ring," and I tried to help, but we gave up. The next morning, I gave it another try and succeeded. "Why did you try it again?" Dorothy asked. "Well, I wanted to show you that we can do hard things," I answered. "Well, we can do intermediate things," Dorothy tempered.
Dorothy's school celebrated the 50th day of the school year. Dorothy thinks, however, that they should instead celebrate the 90th day of school because it is the 50% marker.

The Sunday Funny
Dorothy is still reading children's lit which is littered with orphans and dead parents. She is currently reading a book about a father and children who have adventures together, celebrating the memory of their mother who died, leaving behind a patent which made them very rich.
"It's better when both parents in a book are dead," Dorothy told me, "because when only one parent is dead, it's all they talk about. When both parents are dead, they just don't talk about it."
