Dorothy looked at a small statue of a classic, very curvy, very topless mermaid in a store and asked, "Is that mermaid a boy or a girl?"
I've been known to sing "Shoo Fly Don't Bother Me", and Dorothy has taken that to mean that some flies are "shoe flies", as in, "Look, there's a shoe fly." Also this week we saw a "shoe bee".
I once explained to Dorothy why she could use certain band-aids from our closet for her baby dolls and play, and others were reserved for injuries. This is why when she finds a small scratch on herself she asks me for a "brand-name band-aid".
