We were reading nursery rhymes --
Sarah:
Georgie Porgie, pudding and pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry.
When the boys came out to play,
Georgie Porgie ran away.
Dorothy: Why did he do that?
Sarah: That Georgie, I'll tell you...
Dorothy: ...Not to do that!
Dorothy, after a playdate: "Mom & Dad, I like playing with you, but I like playing with my friends even more."
Dorothy: When I have a little one, and she says she is not tired, I will say "I'll bring you some more toys to bed."
Dorothy heard Beyonce's Single Ladies, then asked, "Why they say if you like something you put a ring on it?"
Regarding truth-telling--
Sarah: Did you go potty?
Dorothy: Yes.
Sarah: Really?
Dorothy: I'm proving it.
Sarah: What does that mean?
Dorothy: I'm telling you what really happened.
Dorothy: When are they going to bring our dessert?
Sarah: Soon. The waitress will bring you a bowl of ice cream.
Dorothy: Why is it taking so long?
Sarah: They are cooking it now.
Dorothy: Why do they cook ice cream here?
