Dorothy took out a hand-me-down 100-piece puzzle, and I advised that we should count the pieces before we took time to make the puzzle. She disappeared for a bit, and came back to tell me, "I counted the pieces and it turns out it's a 104-piece puzzle!"
Dorothy likes to listen to a podcast for children called But Why. Its episodes answer questions like "Why do baby teeth fall out?" and "Where does the sky end?" While playing with the water hose today, Dorothy said, "We should ask But Why why water slips through your hands." I tried to answer her question, and she responded, "Okay, but But Why will give us more facts."
