Snow fell and stuck around for a day. Last January's snow happened overnight, but this time, we played outside for a couple hours while it covered the neighborhood.

Two years ago when Dorothy misspelled a word in the school Spelling Bee, she was upset when her friend told her, "I can't believe you got out on the word superb!  It's such an easy word!"

So, the day after she competed in the District Spelling Bee this year, she told me, "People at school asked what word I got out on.  And I decided to say, 'Ferret.  How would you have spelled it?'"
