We discussed something that led me to say, "Patience pays off!" "That book The Eleventh Hour said something like that," Dorothy responded thoughtfully. "It said 'Patience pays off?'" I asked. "No," she explained, "it said, 'Those who choose the longer road shall reap their reward!'"
Dorothy saw a coffee shop called The Daily Grind and asked what that meant. Grace said, "You grind your coffee beans. It's also a pun. Do you know what a pun is?" "Yes," Dorothy quickly answered, "and what is the other meaning of grind that makes it funny?"
We got-together with family friends that we haven't seen in over a year. Dorothy sidelined me and asked, "Why does it seem like all these people know me?"
