The Sunday Funnies

Dorothy was reading a book where children from the past time-traveled to the present.  Dorothy explained, "The characters from the 1800s are learning about 1998, and the funny thing is, I am also learning about 1998!"

Dorothy's class was researching careers, and Dorothy chose "elementary school teacher."  She told me, "After doing the research, I feel sorry for elementary school teachers.  Google says that they spend their whole summer and all their breaks grading papers and doing lesson plans, and that they make less money every year."

We saw a classic car on the road, and I told Dorothy, "We see so many more old-timey cars than I saw when I was a kid.  It must be a Savannah thing."  Dorothy immediately replied, "There weren't as many old-timey cars back then."
