The Sunday Funny

Dorothy came home from school with a flier for a 4-H Club overnight summer camp.  She wrote me a letter laying-out why she wants to go to the camp.  I asked, "Are you into 4-H activities?"  And she answered, "More than any other camp!  I've been researching summer camps online.  I have found tons of camps that sound perfect -- I like every activity they list -- but in the last line of the description, they always say, 'The campers will work to strengthen their personal relationships with Jesus.'"

Snow fell and stuck around for a day. Last January's snow happened overnight, but this time, we played outside for a couple hours while it covered the neighborhood.

 

The Sunday Funny

Two years ago when Dorothy misspelled a word in the school Spelling Bee, she was upset when her friend told her, "I can't believe you got out on the word superb!  It's such an easy word!"

So, the day after she competed in the District Spelling Bee this year, she told me, "People at school asked what word I got out on.  And I decided to say, 'Ferret.  How would you have spelled it?'"
