Wonderland

Dorothy came up with the entire concept, plus the choreography, costuming, and shot list.  She asked Brian to film and edit it.  They created it in just one afternoon!

The whole video was inspired by the tree branch that fell in our yard.

Dorothy's blog takeover week: The Sunday Funnies (Will & Reid Edition)

Will:

I was lying in bed, when suddenly I hear: Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, "Dad!" My cousin had gotten up and was yelling. Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, "Daaaad!!!" Clang, Clang! He was then attempting to open the door.

Reid:

I blew up a giant ball for my cousin Reid, and he loved it for about a minute. I tried to get him to play with it again, and this happened:

Reid: I don't want to play that game! (He holds up another, smaller ball, and says,) I want to play this game!

The Sunday Funnies

Dorothy has lately enjoyed freezing water containing various objects and dyes and playing with the melting ice.  She told me, "I like to put something in the freezer each night so that it's getting ready for me the next day.  I like knowing that something is happening and waiting for me."  "I get it," I said.  "I feel that way when I buy something online and have a package coming to me in the mail.  I like the anticipation."  "Maybe you should start freezing things," Dorothy suggested.

I'll spare you the details, but Dorothy was explaining why she prefers coughing in the pool instead of clearing her nose of water.  I asked, "But do you see other kids choosing to cough?"  And she replied, "I know, Mom, but I don't want to contribute to the grossness of the pool."
