We were watching a Nancy Drew movie, and the villains trapped Nancy in a roller coaster that was going too fast. Dorothy, slightly nervous, tempered: "If she doesn't get sick, she's not actually in any immediate danger."
Dorothy was playing "2 Truths & a Lie" with some friends. Little Mary offered, "When I was a baby I had the cutest onesie." Dorothy quickly corrected, "That's an opinion. Give me a fact."
I told Dorothy, "I notice that many of your friends ask me where to put their dishes when they're finished eating, and then they carry them to the sink." I was trying to encourage Dorothy to clear her dishes using subtle peer pressure. But she replied, "I do that at other people's houses. But why would I ask where to take my dishes in my own house?"
